| | Vice-Chancellor Receives University of South Florida Provost |  | | |

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. C.N.B. Tagoe recently received the Executive Vice-President and Provost of the University of South Florida (USF), Dr. Ralph C. Wilcox. The meeting was to discuss further, the Memorandum of Agreement between the University of Ghana and USF which was signed in May last year.
Their discussions also centred on creating opportunities for University of Ghana faculty to be in residence at USF while completing the dissertation phase of their doctoral study; an exchange of scholars between the two institutions,; and a joint conference on sustainable communities that would be held here in Ghana. Prof. Tagoe praised these early efforts and encouraged further expansion of collaboration between the two institutions.
Later, Dr. Wilcox had an extended working lunch with the Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, Prof. Yaa Ntiamoa-Baidu and a number of faculty members interested in developing joint research projects with USF faculty. Dr. Wilcox also discussed the opening ceremonies in February of a new School of Global Sustainability to which the Vice-Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, Prof. Kwadwo Ofori has been invited to represent the University. | | | | Date Published: 27/01/2010 | | | |  | |
