Department of French Student clubs/activities

French Club

The University of Ghana French Club is an association made up of all students of French and non-French students of the University of Ghana desirous of learning and using the French language as a medium of communication (in addition to English). This comprises students in the Modern Languages Department (French Section), students in the business school studying French and all other students interested in the study of the French language.

Its objectives are to:

Offer students the opportunity to know one another and pool their resources and knowledge together

Offer suggestions to the appropriate authorities on the possible ways of enhancing the teaching and learning of the of the French language

Design programmes and activities to stimulate students interest in the learning and practice of the language

Promote the French language and culture both inside and outside the university of Ghana through the club’s activities

Foster good relations between the French club, other clubs of the department and other French clubs in other tertiary institutions
