PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION FOR CONTINUING STUDENTS FOR THE 2011/2012 ACADEMIC YEAR

The University of Ghana would like to inform students that registration for continuing students will start from MONDAY, JULY 25, and end on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 10, 2011.

Full registration involves:
1. Payment of Fees
2. Academic Registration
3. Acquisition of new ID Card (Main Campus only)
4. Hall Registration (Residential Students only)
5. Registration for Foreign Students

STEP 1: PAYMENT OF FEES
All students (Main Campus/Accra City Campus/Distance Education/Korle-Bu) are to pay their Academic/Residential(where applicable) Fees at any branch of Standard Chartered Bank or ECOBANK. Ensure that you quote correctly your Student Number on all the pay-in-slips. The Schedule of Fees is available on the University's website www.ug.edu.gh.

Please note that it takes 48hours to register after payment has been made
.

STEP 2: ACADEMIC/ COURSE REGISTRATION
Undertake on-line academic/course registration 48hours after payment of fees, through the University website on any computer with an internet connection BEFORE YOU ARRIVE ON CAMPUS. The steps for the on-line registration are available on the University's website.

Note: Registration at the Hall of residence will only be successful if a student has
registered on-line and has proof of registration

STEP 3: ACQUISITION OF NEW ID CARD
All students are expected to report to Campus on the respective DATES indicated in the
schedule below:

The underlisted categories of students are required to pick up new ID cards at the
following centres:

Students Centre
Residential Selected Hall of Residence
Non-Resident (Main Campus) Students Services Centre at the Information Centre,
near the Main Gate
Graduate School of Graduate Studies
 
 
STEP 4: HALL REGISTRATION (RESIDENTIAL STUDENTS ONLY)
Upon arrival, proceed to the Hall of Residence selected in the recent exercise and undertake the following processes:
i. Show your Proof of Registration to the Registration Officer
ii. Pick up new ID Card
iii. Proceed with Hall registration


REGISTRATION FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS
All foreign students should make payments at ECOBANK as follows:

University of Ghana Fee Collection – USD – FX (for payments in Ghana only).

University of Ghana Fees Collection – USD – FGN (for payments outside Ghana): SWIFT CODE: ECOCGHAC

Note: Students within the ECOWAS Sub-region should pay cash only.

Please note that it takes 72hours/48hours for payments made outside and within the country respectively to reflect in the University's database.

Undertake on-line academic/course registration 72hours/48hours after payment of fees, through the University website on any computer with an internet connection BEFORE YOU ARRIVE ON CAMPUS. If you have any difficulty please send your complaint(s) to studentsaccounts@ug.edu.gh. In sending the complaint, indicate your Student Number. The steps for the Online Registration is available on the University's website.

Undertake Hall Registration.

Report at the Office of International Programmes, near the K. A. B. Jones-Quartey Building, close to the University's Main Gate.
