First Call for Papers
The Faculty of Science, University of Ghana, Legon, invites the submission of abstracts for oral and poster presentation for the forthcoming 17th Colloquium of the Faculty of Science (FASCOLL 2012).

Deadline for submission of abstract: January 15, 2012.

No fee is required for abstract submittals. Please indicate your presentation preference (Oral or Poster) and send it via email to fascoll@ug.edu.gh . Please note that the decision by the Editorial and Publication Subcommittee to place your paper in either an oral or a poster session is final.

Authors will be informed of the acceptance or otherwise of their abstracts by February 25, 2012. This will be followed by the submission of full papers by authors of accepted abstracts. Abstracts of accepted papers will be published in the Book of Abstracts and included in the colloquium proceedings, and the full paper considered for publication in the Special Maiden Edition of the Legon Journal of Science and Technology (Going online by the time of the colloquium). Authors are therefore requested to submit an abstract of not more than 250 words, exclusive of the title and the author citations. Abstracts should be written in English, using metric units. All Abstracts must be in Microsoft Word format. The abstracts should be as informative and representative of authors’ presentations as possible. Abstracts are accepted for review with the understanding that no substantial portions of the paper have been published or are being considered for publication elsewhere, and that all of the authors have agreed to their submission for publication. Papers will be selected by the Editorial and Publication Committee (Scientific Committee) and will have to go through a blind and independent review process by qualified reviewers.

N/B: There will be a special award for the best student presentation. Graduate Students are therefore encouraged to submit abstracts.
