 INVITATION TO SAFTA SEMINAR

 We are pleased to invite you to a one-day seminar hosted by the Institute of Applied Science and Technology, in collaboration with Institute of Agriculture and Technology, Tokyo, University of Agriculture and Technology and Food and Agriculture Organization on Adapting cacao -based agriculture to climate change for poverty eradication and sustainable development in Africa- a proposal of Japanese- Brazilian agroforestry approach .

Since 2015, the Institute of Agriculture and Technology together with Prof. Dr. Masaaki Yamada and Dr. Shiho Kagami have implemented a feasibility study on “SAFTA (Brazilian successional agroforestry system) Application to Cacao Plantations in Ghana for improving Farm Productivity and Reducing Hunger”: The workshop seeks to achieve the following:

• Introduce SAFTA to Ghana
• Collaborate and embark on an integrated research, education and extension initiative regarding SAFTA in Ghana
