Student Support

The Department offers support to students in terms of human resources. Lecturers are assigned to different workshops (the Club’s Ateliers) as resource persons and for guidance. The Department’s Academic Adviser, who is also the patron of the club, advises students on issues relating to academics and the challenges students face as far as learning of the French language is concerned. It is also supportive in terms of channelling students’ grievances and academic problems to the appropriate authority. The Department serves as a facilitator for the French club’s sponsorship deals with organizations interested in promoting the learning of the language.
The French Embassy also provides support to students through the Maison Française, the Campus France and the Technical Cooperation Assistants from the Embassy.
