About the dialogue:

Achieving universal health coverage is critical for countries to be able to meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in 2030. In Ghana, universal health coverage is being realised through the efforts of the National Health Insurance Authority. There is a deadline of December 2021 to ensure that there is improved access to healthcare for all. There are, however, many challenges in meeting these goals.

Hosted by The Conversation Africa and the University of Ghana, this science-policy dialogue seeks to highlight the need for improved health equity in Ghana and will bring together scientists, public health practitioners and policymakers to take stock and analyse Ghana’s public health system and its ability to ensure universal health coverage for all Ghanaians.
