Members of the University community are hereby invited to the third session of the Professor Alexander Adum Kwapong Lectures - Nature Speaks being organised by the United Nations University - Institute for Natural Resources in Africa.

Theme: “Innovation, Transition and Disruption in Natural Resource Management: The Role of the African University.”

Venue: Centre for African Wetlands, University of Ghana, Legon campus.

 

Professor Chris Gordon, former director of the Institute for Environment and Sanitation Studies (IESS) at the University of Ghana, will speak on the topic: “Innovation, Transition and Disruption in Natural Resource Management: The Role of the African University.”

The lecture will discuss the role of African universities in being more disruptive and breaking barriers to transform natural resource management and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

The high-level lecture series is designed to provide a platform for prominent thought leaders to foster independent thinking and to challenge conventional wisdom and narratives with bold and innovative ideas and solutions.
