Members of the University community are invited to the introduction of a comprehensive package of reforms by government within the teacher education sector, including a new 4-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) curriculum for initial teacher education, which is currently being run in all public Colleges of Education in Ghana.
The University of Ghana is pleased to be part of the new educational reforms, which will be rolled out in October 2019. As part of the reforms, each of the public Colleges of Education is now affiliated to a selected public university.
The Vice-Chancellor will formally launch the B.Ed. curriculum and introduce the six Colleges of Education affiliated to the University as follows:
