Dr. Augustine Naazie is a Senior Research Fellow and, currently, Head of the Livestock and Poultry Research Centre (LIPREC) of the Institute of Agricultural Research, College of Agriculture and Consumer Sciences, University of Ghana, Legon. He has a PhD in Animal Breeding and Genetics and over 25 years of experience in research and teaching at the University level and within the international and national agricultural research systems.

His current research focuses on characterization and conservation of indigenous (domestic) animal genetic resources, especially poultry genetic resources.

Profile of Augustine Naazie (PhD, FGSAP)
Tsatsu Adogla-Bessa has 22 years of experience in agricultural research for development. His areas of specialization are range and forage science, ruminant livestock production and livestock agroforestry applications. He is particularly interested in use of fodder trees and crop residues for enhanced livestock production and the intergration of livestock with tree crops. He is currently employed as a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Ghana, College of Agriculture & Consumer Sciences.
He holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture (1980) with specialisation in animal science from the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra. His M.Sc. in Animal Production (1986) and Ph.D. Agriculture (1990) with specialization in forage science are both from the University of Reading, UK. He is also trained in, adult teaching and livestock agroforestry applications.
Before joining the University of Ghana, he was a lecturer in the Department of Animal Science & Production, Botswana College of Agriculture (University of Botswana) from 1992 to 1998. Earlier in his professional career, he was a temporary Lecturer at the Department of Agriculture, University of Reading from 1990 to 1991. He has visited 12 countries in Africa and Europe for seminars and conferences.

Dr. Eric Timpong-Jones is a research fellow at the Livestock and Poultry Research Centre (LIPREC), Institute of Agricultural Research, College of Agriculture and Consumer Sciences, University of Ghana, Legon. He has 11 years of experience as a research fellow. He also teaches range management courses at both graduate and under-graduate levels at the Department of Animal Science, School of Agriculture, University of Ghana.

His professional competence is in Pasture and Range Management and focusing on the following:1) Monitoring and evaluation of range resources using field surveys, Geomatics and laboratory determinations 2) Harvest management and preservation of forage species 3) Ruminant livestock performance on forage species. He has undertaken range inventory and management studies in two African Countries: Ghana and Zimbabwe.
