Personal Statement:
I am a Chartered Statistician with more than 16 years’ experience in government, academia, and research. I am a fellow of the Royal Statistical Society, United Kingdom. I obtained a BSc in Statistics from the University of Ghana in 2000 and an MSc and a PhD in biostatistics and epidemiology from the prestigious London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in the United Kingdom in 2006 and 2012, respectively. I am a faculty member of the University of Ghana School of Public Health. Previously, I served as Head of Department of Biostatistics at the University of Ghana School of Public Health from 2013 to 2015. I had also worked as Senior Statistician and Head of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) at the Ghana Ministry of Health from 2002 to 2008. My research interest includes pragmatic clinical trial designs, complex public health interventions, implementation science, complex surveys in developing country settings, impact evaluations, and causal inference. My scholarly work has produced over 60 peer-reviewed articles.
