This course covers approaches to the management of clinical information, focusing on the role and purpose of healthcare records and the development of electronic healthcare record
architectures. It deals with practical issues such as standardization, security and evaluation as well as disease classifications and more theoretical questions of medical knowledge
representation and the comparison of methodologies. The course will review the impact of electronic records on health and healthcare including legal, financial and clinical design issues
