International Climate Change and National Development Conference Held in Accra

A two-day international conference on climate change and national development was held at he Center for African Wetlands University of Ghana, Legon. The conference organized by the University of Ghana under the Building Capacity for Climate Change Challenge B4C project brought together researchers and policy makers across Africa to deliberate on Climate Change issues. During the conference presentations were made on the impact of climate change on food security, biodiversity, water resources and ecosystems, gender and health, energy with a special session the challenges in communicating climate change to the public.

ACCAI partners meet to discuss progress on climate change initiatives

The African Climate Change Adaptation Initaitive (ACCAI) partners met recently at the Center for African Wetlands (CAW), University of Ghana to discuss progress on various climate change projects across the continent.

Building the Next Generation of Thinkers for Climate Change Adaptation

B4C in line with its continued mission to build capacity and train human resource for climate change adaptation in Ghana organized the two-day Next Generation of Thinkers for Climate Change Adaptation workshop at the Center for African Wetlands, Legon, with the aim of providing training for thematic leaders under the B4C programme as well as some selected University faculty.

Progress Report for Policy Outreach Component

Under the B4C project, the Ghana Wildlife Society has been tasked with executing an outreach and advocacy component with the goal of developing a terms of reference to provide policy makers in Ghana with relevant climate change adaptation knowledge to build capacity to tackle climate change issues and formulate national development policies.
