Call for Applications: 4-day course on Research Communication

The University of Copenhagen in partnership with the Colleges of Health Sciences of the University of Ghana (UG) and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) announces a course in Research Communication for students and young faculty.  The objective of the course is to strengthen research communication capacity of doctoral students and young researchers of the University of Ghana.

Specifically, the course seeks to;

  1. Provide insight into the concepts and principles of Research Communication
  2. Support participants to develop communication products in the form of policy briefs, posters, theatre plays etc for use in communicating research findings
  3. Provide skills to participants to share their research findings by engaging in organized fora such as a research symposia and community events.

 

Eligibility

To be eligible to attend the course, the participant must be a registered doctoral student or faculty member of UG and might have advanced in the course of study (for PhDs), probably in the last 2 years. For faculty, the applicant must not be more than 7years post PhD qualification. All applicants should have conducted data analysis and have results ready to be shared. In addition, applicants must be ready to avail themselves for follow up interactions on the development of communication tools, conducting community outreach activities and participating in a research symposium. These are activities staggered at different times of the year.
