Training Workshops in Biostatistics and Infectious Disease Modelling

 

The Department of Medical Microbiology, UGMS, is organizing two training workshops in the first week of December 2024. 

One of the workshops focuses on Biostatistics and the other on Infectious Disease Modelling. The workshops are part of two major research training programmes funded by the National Institutes of Health, USA and hosted by the Department of Medical Microbiology. 

These programmes include the Research and Capacity Building in Antimicrobial Resistance in West Africa (RECABAW) Training Programme (D43TW012487), and the Application of Data Science to Build Research Capacity in Zoonoses and Foodborne Infections (DS-ZOOFOOD) Training Programme (UE5TW012566). 

The workshops are open to graduate students and professionals from the West African sub-region. Flight and accommodation costs will be covered for international participants and participants from outside Accra.
