Dr. Kwadwo Ameyaw Korsah is the Head of Adult Health Department and a nurse by profession. He is a lecturer in the Department of Adult Health, School of Nursing and Midwifery, College of Health Sciences, University of Ghana. Dr. Korsah’s research is encapsulated under Chronicity of Diseases, including Diabetes Care and Coping as well as cultural diversity and sensitivity in nursing care. His highest academic qualification is a PhD in Nursing. He is grounded in qualitative research with most of his work centred on individuals’ living with diabetes, social meanings attached to diabetes mellitus, patients’ reactions following diagnosis of diabetes and resolution, challenges living with diabetes and coping experiences of diabetes patients as well as supporting people with chronic diseases in general. Dr. Korsah has also done extensive work on communication in nursing, specifically hovering around nurse-patient interactions in selected hospitals in Ghana. He is an experienced nurse educator with a recordable teaching reputation. Dr. Korsah is currently working to develop a Management Model for Patients Living with Diabetes in Ghana.
